well you can!
add a shortcut to your dekstop with this url :
gtalk:chat?jid=[YOUR_BUDDY]@gmail.comand yesss, you can personalize the icon !!
as gTalk is all high voice quality so why only chat with your friends!
well call them:
gtalk:call?jid=[YOUR_BUDDY]@gmail.com

intéressant les contacts flottants :) mais sur le bureau il n'y a plus place pour d'autres icônes :(
